Aikido is a system of
self-defense that was developed in Japan almost 100 years ago,
and it can be used effectively regardless of your size, strength, or fitness level.
Aikido, with its dynamic, circular movements, is not only practical for self-defense,
but it is also
and gentle on your body. It can be practiced successfully by
people of all ages.
We also offer a unique
program that is taught by Jonathan Reid,
who is a certified occupational therapist as well as the owner and chief instructor
at the school.
Aikido of Central New York is home to Yoga, SunDo and Kettle-bell classes, as well as the
Syracuse Martial Arts Kenkyukai (SMAK) traditional and youth sport karate program.
